One band, One night… and it’s all happening at the one and only historic Mars Theatre via, Thomas Claxton’s “Me, Myself, & Us” Concert Series!On this night, be ready for a full-band production of some of your favorite songs from some of your favorite bands in history! If you’re a fan of Rock and Classic R&B/Soul music and love a good concert vibe, then this show is for you. For this edition of Thomas’ Concert Series, you’ll get to meet and hear Special Guests:* Carmine Rojas (BASS): Bass Guitarist, Composer, Musical Director... Carmine Rojas made his mark in the annals of musical time by providing his style of bass guitar to such greats as David Bowie and Tina Turner. Carmine's acclaimed style ranging from Rock and R&B to Funk and Jazz, can be forever enjoyed on iconic songs such as "Let's Dance", "Modern Love", "Young Turks", and countless others.* Will McFarlane (GUITAR): Inducted into the Nashville Musicians Hall of Fame with the "Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section" AKA: "The Swampers", Will McFarlane's storied career has seen him at the top of the industry both as a Performing Artist and a Session Artist. Formerly the guitarist of Bonnie Raitt for many years, McFarlane also contributed to songs from many acclaimed artists such as: Etta James, Levon Helm, Johnnie Taylor, Bobby "Blue" Bland, and many others.* Bernard "Pretty" Purdie (DRUMS): The namesake of the "Purdie Shuffle", Bernard Purdie is one of if not THE most recorded drummer in history. The only drummer in the world to have an actual rhythm named after him, Bernard provided the beats to songs that defined generations and left his brand on songs from such artists as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Issac Hayes, Hall & Oates, and too many others to list. A "Living Legend" if there ever was one.The band will also feature…* Paul Cooper (DRUMS)* Chris Stubbs (KEYS)* Sami Michelsen (VOCALS)...and other artists being announced soon.and finally… “Me, Myself, & Us” Concert Series Founder:* Thomas Claxton (Lead Vocals): Classically-trained Vocalist and native of Effingham County, Claxton’s career has seen him perform and/or record with various members of bands such as Jane’s Addiction, Three Dog Night, Parliament-Funkadelic, Satriani, Huey Lewis and The News, The Firm, Pink Floyd, Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band and more. He’s also opened shows for the likes of Mike + The Mechanics, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Quiet Riot and has been featured by Acoustic Guitar Magazine, The NAMM Show’s “Oral History Program”, and “The Talking Up Music Education” podcast.
